Drums for conveyor belts

At Esch Conveyor Components, drums for conveyors are manufactured at a separate department . Together with established partners who can meet the high demands of our product range, we supply drums of different types and in different designs.

The drive drum drives the conveyor belt. Within this range, there are no standards. The drum can be produced according to your specific needs or drawings. For example, welded axle or axle with clamping sleeve construction, cylindrical or rounded drum, or static or dynamic balance. Possibly with the desired coating.

Reversing drums

Reversing drums are used to tension and reverse the conveyor belt. Also within this range, there are no standards. The drums are produced according to your specific needs or drawings. For example, axle bearings, welded axle, or axle with a clamping sleeve construction, cylindrical or rounded drum, and static or dynamic balance. Possibly with the desired coating.

Cage drums

Like reversing drums, cage drums are used for tensioning and reversing the conveyor belt. Cage drums have a cage consisting of steel ribs around a conical core. This construction ensures that dirt, loosened by the ribs, can be more easily removed.

Coating

Coating the drive drum has many advantages. Reduced tyre slippage, more control, protection, less wear, and therefore longer life. Each coating type has its own specific properties. These range from highly wear-resistant cast-on, post-turned, and thus seamless Polyurethane of 90° shore (PU Baytec) to bonded coatings with or without profile.

PUR-RIM

We provide a good alternative to the manufacture of expensive stainless steel drums: PUR-RIM. Here, we replace the often expensive stainless steel tube with a core made of polyurethane with a hardness of 90° shore class D. This material is highly wear-resistant and can be produced in special contours by CNC machining. Ask us about the possibilities!
